Simplicity International Considers Alternatives in Today’s Market
(KIMBERTON, PA) – Oct 15, 2009-- John M. Schopfer, Chief Executive and Principal Partner of Simplicity International, has announced that it is considering development alternatives in light of a year of global economic turmoil. Schopfer reported, “Our development approvals came at time when the market disappeared and we have held on for the past year, knowing that Nevis and our Tamarind Cove project would emerge in a strong competitive position. Indeed, while the global economic crisis forced many Caribbean projects to close down or sell off at distressed prices. Nevis and St. Kitts has held on as an attractive high-end destination unspoiled by over building, bringing Kiawah Development to St. Kitts peninsula with a Mandarin Oriental and another project with Park Hyatt.”
The fact that these projects have broken ground and commenced in 2009 is a testament to the future of Nevis and St. Kitts, and allow Simplicity to review its plans and consider the best market alternatives for its Tamarind Cove project. Tamarind Cove is a $37 million development and the first of Simplicity’s exclusive Enclaves™. The private community, with only seven beachfront homes, is situated in an intimate cove overlooking St. Kitts. The residences, each four to five bedrooms with approximately 5,500 sq. ft. of living space, will average $4M.
“We will look at lots sales, villa development and mixed –use alternatives such as a high-end boutique marina village, for determining the best market positioning as the global situation is now starting to shift.” The project also has been approved for the highly regarded Economic Citizenship program of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, offering the eligibility of buyer to apply for residency Passport providing visa free travel to 90 countries around the world. (Kimberton, PA) – March 28, 2007-- John M. Schopfer, Chief Executive and Principal Partner of Simplicity International, is pleased to announce that Alex Hugessen has recently joined the Simplicity International team as Director of Sales.
Alex joins Simplicity directly from Playground Real Estate (Intrawest) and brings a track record of over 10 years of experience in luxury and high-end pre-construction real estate. Alex worked on the initial “Storied Places” offering on the slopes of Whistler Mountain in British Columbia, as well as The Lodge at Suncadia, a $70M offering near Seattle Washington. Most recently, Alex led the Playground Whistler sales team in the sellout of the second phase of the ‘Evolution’ project in Whistler’s Creekside.
“Based on his experience, Alex is a perfect fit to help introduce the Enclave brand” says Schopfer. “He fills a critical role in our management team which now includes finance, marketing, development and executive functions.”
Alex’s first project will be Simplicity International’s inaugural “Enclave” property, Tamarind Cove, which includes 10 estate homes on a pristine 5.7-Acre beachfront site on the Gold Coast of Nevis in the West Indies.
Site preparation for Tamarind Cove is underway and the first release of homes is slated for July 2007.

In addition to her real estate sales organization, she leads groups of volunteers to various Caribbean islands to do historic preservation-related projects.

Jude Carrillo has nearly twenty years of resort real estate and vacation ownership experience in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Most recently, Mr. Carrillo was an Executive Vice President for Vancouver, BC-based Intrawest Corporation in their Club Intrawest subsidiary. As well, he was VP, Sales and Marketing for Star Resorts and held senior management positions with Vacation International, Trendwest Resorts and other notable resort real estate companies.

Schopfer, RRP, Managing Partner of CLUBworks International, LLC has announced that he has acquired Simplicity International, LLC and various other holdings under the Simplicity brand name. The move makes Schopfer Chief Executive and Principal Partner of Simplicity International with CLUBworks, a development services company, operating as one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries. Simplicity is a real estate development company pursuing resort, vacation, second-home and leisure lifestyle products for high-end consumers. Other subsidiaries of Simplicity International, LLC are Simplicity Holdings, LLC and Simplicity International West Indies, LLC.

Schopfer, who initially brought Simplicity International to market in the Destination Club arena in March of 2005 as its President and COO reports that he was disappointed when a larger resort development group quickly ‘snapped up’ the growing entity last summer.
